history
Sloboda Tuzla is one of the oldest associations in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The name of the club, FK Sloboda, translates as "Freedom Football Club". Sloboda played in the 1st Yugoslav League until 1992 . A third place in the 1976/77 season and the unofficial title for the autumn championship in 1989 were the greatest successes there.
Even after the independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the club remained without a championship title. In the 2008/09 season he reached his third place in the Premijer Liga. In the 2013/14 season under the direction of Miroslav Blažević , the club reached 1st place in the ( Prva Liga FBiH ) or became champions and rose to the Premijer Liga .
International
Although FK Sloboda has existed as a club for a long time, the club had not been showered with great successes. In the 1977/78 season, the club took part in the UEFA Cup , but failed in the first round at UD Las Palmas . Otherwise, the club qualified every now and then for the UI Cup, in which they last participated in 2004.
From a sporting point of view, the 3rd place in the league in 2009 would have been eligible to qualify for the 2009/10 Europa League , but the club did not receive a UEFA license.
