Thulani Serero (born April 11, 1990 in Soweto ) is a South African football player .
Career
society
Serero, born in the then independent city of Soweto just outside Johannesburg , played as a teenager for the Senane Gunners and received his football training in his home country at the sports academies of SuperSport United in Pretoria and Ajax Cape Town in Cape Town . Since 2008 he played in the first team of Ajax in the Premier Soccer League . In 2009, the South African Football Association named him U-20 Player of the Year. After the 2009/10 season he was named Rookie of the Year at the club. With Ajax Cape Town, the 1.72-meter-tall attacking midfielder was second in the South African team in 2011, scoring ten goals. In three seasons he scored a total of 16 goals in 63 league games. For the 2011/12 season he signed a four-year contract with the Dutch record champions from Amsterdam.
National team
Serero played 15 times in the U-17 and 14 times in the U-20 selection of South Africa, with which he took part in the 2009 Junior World Cup in Egypt . In the 2010/11 season he was part of the U-23 squad. In the second half of the season he was several times a cadre of senior national team , where he had made his debut on February 9, 2011th In the 2-0 win in a friendly against Kenya , coach Pitso Mosimane came on for Bernard Parker in the 71st minute .
