Viktor Gorridsen Fischer (born June 9, 1994 in Aarhus ) is a Danish football player . He plays for FC Copenhagen .

Youth and advancement in the men's field in Denmark and the Netherlands

Viktor Fischer, whose grandfather Poul Pedersen was a Danish national soccer player, started playing soccer in the youth of Aarhus GF . From there he went to the youth team of FC Midtjylland . In 2011 he moved to the Ajax Amsterdam youth team .

Fischer made his competitive debut for the Ajax professional team in the game for Johan Cruijff Schaal against PSV Eindhoven (final score 2-4). He scored his first two goals in the league in the 4-2 win on November 11, 2012 against PEC Zwolle . Fischer played for the A-youth team and the reserve team this season, made three appearances for the professionals in the UEFA Champions League, two appearances in the UEFA Europa League , four appearances (two goals) in the KNVB-Beker and 23 Games (ten goals) in the league. At the end of the season, the Dutch championship was won. The championship title was defended in the following season , with Fischer missing the end of the season and much of the next season because of a thigh injury. In the 2015/16 season , Fischer was regularly used again.

Middlesbrough FC and 1. FSV Mainz 05

In the summer of 2016, Fischer moved to England to have been promoted to the Premier League, FC Middlesbrough, and made 13 appearances in which he only scored three goals. At the end of the season, the club was relegated from the Premier League.

In June 2017 he moved to 1. FSV Mainz 05 . His contract ran until 2021. On August 12, 2017, Fischer played his first game for Mainz in a 3-1 win in the first round of the DFB Cup in the away game against regional league team Lüneburger SK Hansa . On October 24, 2017, he scored his only two competitive goals in a 3-2 win in the second round against second division Holstein Kiel with the goals of 1-0 and 2-1.

FC Copenhagen

After ten appearances in the Bundesliga and two games (two goals) in the DFB Cup, he joined FC Copenhagen during the winter break from 2017/18 to 2022 . With FC Copenhagen he was Danish champion in 2019 .

National team

From 2008 onwards, Fischer was a regular member of the Danish Football Association's junior teams . With the U-17, Fischer missed qualifying for the U-17 European Championship in 2010 . In the course of qualifying for the 2011 U-17 European Championship , Fischer scored seven goals (including five in the 7-0 win against Lithuania) and helped the Danish U-17 selection to make it to the finals. At the final tournament he scored two goals in the group stage; In the semifinals, the Danish team lost to Germany 0-2. The UEFA Technical Committee selected Fischer as one of six attackers to join the tournament. By reaching the semi-finals, coach Thomas Frank's team qualified for the 2011 U-17 World Cup . In the tournament there, Fischer made three appearances and one hit. The Danish U-17 finished last in the table in the preliminary round. With the elimination, Fischer's membership of the U-17, for which he had scored 20 goals in 30 missions, ended. In the technical report of the World Cup tournament, Fischer is highlighted as the only player in his team and described as a "strong dribbling attacking midfielder with a good passing game and goal finish".

He made his senior national team debut on November 14, 2012 in a game against Turkey.
