Mohamed Daramy , incorrectly often Mohammed Daramy , (born January 7, 2002 in Hvidovre ) is a Danish - Sierra Leonean football player who is currently under contract with the first division club FC Copenhagen . In addition to his Sierra Leonean citizenship, the striker has also had Danish citizenship since January 2020.

Club career

Daramy, born and raised in Hvidovre in the Copenhagen “ bacon belt ”, whose parents come from Sierra Leone, began playing football at his home club Hvidovre IF before FC Copenhagen signed him for their U14. There he drew attention to himself shortly after his arrival, so at the age of 15 he was already the top scorer of the U-17 team in Copenhagen. He signed a three-year contract with the capital city club in October 2017. On September 27, 2018, he made his first-team debut in the cup match against Viby IF . In the 3-0 away win, he came on for Rasmus Falk in the second half and scored a goal in the 88th minute. At 16 years and 263 days, he became the youngest professional goalscorer for FC Copenhagen. He made his debut in the league on December 2, 2018 in a 6-1 away win against AC Horsens . On March 31, he scored his first goal in the Superligaen in a 1-0 home win against Esbjerg fB . He won the Danish championship with his club in the 2018/19 season and played 11 league games himself. In the following 2019/20 season he established himself as a regular and scored four times in 29 league appearances.

National team career

Mohamed Daramy was nominated for a Danish national team for the first time on August 24, 2020 when he was appointed to the squad of the U19 national team for the test matches against Germany .
