Gregory "Greg" Leigh (born September 30, 1994 in Manchester ) is an English football player who is under contract with NAC Breda .
Career
society
Greg Leigh began his career at Sale United in the suburb of the same name in Manchester . He joined Manchester City Youth Academy at the age of nine in 2004 . He was active in this until 2014. In August 2014, Leigh was awarded for one season to English third division club Crewe Alexandra . Leigh made his professional debut in the Crewe shirt the same month he signed. In the 2-0 away win in the first round of the League Cup , he was against FC Barnsley in the starting line-up before being substituted in the middle of the second half against Jon Guthrie . In March 2015, he scored his first professional goal against Scunthorpe United . The goal was voted Goal of the Season by Crewe fans at the end of the season. For the club, he played 42 competitive games across all competitions. After the end of the loan commitment to Crewe , he also left Manchester. Leigh then signed a one-year contract with Bradford City . He was only used sporadically for the third division team. He made his debut for his new club in October 2015 in the Football League Trophy against Barnsley. He made his league debut in November against his former club Crewe Alexandra. In the same month he scored goals against Aldershot Town in the FA Cup and in the league against Scunthorpe United. After playing seven competitive games in November and December, his ninth and last appearance for the club followed in February 2016 against Burton Albion . In July 2016, the 21-year-old Leigh moved to Bury FC . In two seasons he was set as a regular player on the left full-back position. After the expiration of his contract in Bury, Leigh signed a four-year contract with NAC Breda from the Dutch Eredivisie . June 2019 he was for the season 2019/20 at FC Aberdeen awarded to Scotland.
National team
Greg Leigh played four times for the England U-19 team in 2013 . On February 5, 2013 he made his debut against the U-19 selection from Denmark . He was on the field for the entire 90 minutes.
