Espérance Sportive Troyes Aube Champagne (or ESTAC ) is a French football club from the city of Troyes in Champagne . The club was founded in 1900 as Union Sportive Troyenne ; After some mergers and renaming (among other things, at the latest since the assumption of professional status in 1935 , AS Troyes-SavinienneSainte-Savine is a neighboring municipality of Troyes -, from 1970 Troyes Aube Football and from 1986 Association Troyes Aube Champagne / ATAC ) the club took its place today's name only in 2000. The club colors are blue and white.

The first football team plays in the Stade de l'Aube with a capacity of 20,400 spectators. The association is currently managed by Daniel Masoni; The coach of the league eleven has been Claude Robin since December 2015 , who succeeded Jean-Marc Furlan , who had not won 17 league games to date .

League affiliation

Espérance Sportive Troyes belonged to the amateur area for longer periods of its more than 100-year history; professional football was only played between 1935 and 1963, 1970 to 1979 and currently since 1996. In the top division ( Division 1 , called Ligue 1 since 2002 ) Troyes was 1942/43, 1954–1956, 1960/61, 1973–1978, 1999–2003, 2005–2007, 2012/13, 2015/16 and 2017 / 18 represented.

successes

Although Troyes is one of the older French football clubs, the club has never played a major role in the country; one of the reasons for this was that the Champagne region has identified with the successful Stade Reims for a long time in terms of football . The ESTAC Palmarès is correspondingly modest :
