Sainte-Savine is a French commune with 10,573 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aube department in the Grand Est region . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Troyes . The city is located in the canton of Troyes-2 and is its capital. Sainte-Savine has now grown together with the city of Troyes in the east.
Surname
The name of the village goes back to the martyr Savine . Her brother Savinien, also a martyr, was canonized.
