Laines-aux-Bois is about nine kilometers southwest of Troyes . Laines-aux-Bois is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Germain in the north and north-east, Saint-Pouange in the east, Souligny in the south, Vauchassis in the west and Prugny in the west and north-west.

Autoroute A5 and Route nationale 77 run along the eastern edge of the municipality .
