Laines-aux-Bois is a French commune with 523 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aube department in the Grand Est region . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Troyes and the canton of Les Riceys (until 2015: canton of Troyes-6 ). The inhabitants are called Laignerans .

Laines-aux-Bois is about nine kilometers southwest of Troyes . Laines-aux-Bois is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Germain in the north and north-east, Saint-Pouange in the east, Souligny in the south, Vauchassis in the west and Prugny in the west and north-west.
Autoroute A5 and Route nationale 77 run along the eastern edge of the municipality .
