Vailly is a French commune with 287 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aube department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Champagne-Ardenne ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Troyes and since 2015 to the canton of Creney-près-Troyes (previously canton Troyes-2 ).

Vailly is about nine kilometers northeast of Troyes . Vailly is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Feuges in the north, Charmont-sous-Barbuise in the east and northeast, Luyères in the east, Creney-près-Troyes in the south, Lavau in the southwest and Sainte-Maure in the west and southwest.
