Isle-Aubigny is a French commune with 179 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aube department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Champagne-Ardenne ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Troyes and to the municipality association Arcis, Mailly, Ramerupt, founded in 2017 . The inhabitants are called Isliens .
geography
Isle-Aubigny is located on the river Aube in the " dry Champagne " ( Champagne sèche ), about 32 kilometers north-northeast of Troyes . The community area of 10.76 km² has hardly any height differences and is characterized by large arable land. Along the meandering strong Aube have floodplain forests preserved. In the extreme northeast of the municipality is a 30 hectare forest that borders the Camp de Mailly military area . In this forest, the highest point in the municipality is reached at 182 m above sea level. The hamlet of Valmoy belongs to the municipality of Isle-Aubigny . Isle-Aubigny is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lhuître in the northwest and north, Dampierre and Vaucogne in the northeast, Ramerupt in the east, Chaudrey in the southeast, Ortillon in the south, Vaupoisson in the southwest and Vinets in the west.
history
The municipality was created in 1965 through the merger of Isle-sous-Ramerupt and Aubigny . The two parish churches in the parish belonged to the parish of the neighboring parish of Vinets in the Arcis deanery until the 17th century.

Economy and Infrastructure
Eleven farms are located in Isle-Aubigny (cultivation of grain, pulses and oilseeds).
Isle-Aubigny is on the D56 trunk road (formerly from Arcis-sur-Aube to Ramerupt ). In the municipality of Torcy-le-Petit , five kilometers to the west, there is a connection to the A26 Autoroute from Calais via Reims to Troyes .
