Saint-Thibault is located about twelve kilometers south-southeast of Troyes . The Seine delimits the community in the northeast. Saint-Thibault is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Buchères in the north and north-west, Verrières in the north and north-east, Clérey in the east, Vaudes in the south-east, Cormost in the south and south-west, Les Bordes-Aumont in the west and south-west, Isle-Aumont in the west and Moussey in the north-west.
