Barberey-Saint-Sulpice is a French commune with 1,449 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aube department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Champagne-Ardenne ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Troyes and since 2015 to the canton of Saint-Lyé (previously canton Troyes-4 ). The inhabitants are called Bareberotois .

Barberey-Saint-Sulpice is about six kilometers north-north-west of Troyes on the Seine . The Canal de la Haute-Seine also runs through the municipality . Barberey-Saint-Sulpice is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Lyé in the north and west, Sainte-Maure in the east and north-east, La Chapelle-Saint-Luc in the south and Montgueux in the south-west.

The municipality is on the Paris – Mulhouse railway line . Troyes-Barberey Airport is also in the municipality
