Souligny is a commune with 400 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the French department of Aube in the Grand Est region . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Troyes and the canton of Les Riceys (until 2015: canton of Bouilly ). The inhabitants are called Soulignais .

Souligny is about eleven kilometers south-southwest of Troyes . Souligny is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Laines-aux-Bois in the north, Saint-Pouange in the east, Bouilly in the south and Vauchassis in the west.
Route nationale 77 runs through the municipality .
