Macey is a French commune with 964 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aube department in the Grand Est region (before 2016 Champagne-Ardenne ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Troyes and since 2015 to the canton of Saint-Lyé (previously canton of Sainte-Savine ).

Macey is about twelve kilometers west of Troyes . Macey is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Pavillon-Sainte-Julie in the north, Saint-Lyé in the north and northeast, Montgueux in the east, Messon in the south, Fontvannes in the southwest, Dierrey-Saint-Julien in the west and Dierrey-Saint-Pierre in the northwest .
