The Haarlemsche Football Club Haarlem (HFC Haarlem for short) was a football club from the Dutch city of Haarlem .
history
The association was founded on October 1, 1889. Until his relegation in the 1989/90 season, the HFC played in the top division, until January 25, 2010 the club played in the second Dutch division . The colors of the club were red-blue-white. On January 25, 2010, the club was declared insolvent and was withdrawn from the competition according to the Dutch league rules. All results have been canceled. The association then disbanded. In February 2010 the Nieuw HFC Haarlem was founded with the aim of playing in the amateur field. This club then merged on April 26, 2010 with the amateur club HFC Kennemerland from the third highest amateur league in the Netherlands, the Tweede class , to form Haarlem-Kennemerland FC .

The Haarlem stadium where the club played can hold a maximum of 3,442 spectators.
successes
HFC Haarlem was most successful between the beginning of the 20th century and the middle of the 20th century. The club became Dutch champions in 1946. The Dutch Cup was won in 1902 and 1912.
In statistics it is somewhat confusing that for many years there were two football clubs from Haarlem with the abbreviation HFC: The former professional club Haarlemsche Football Club Haarlem and the Haarlemsche Football Club , which has been called Koninklijke Haarlemsche Football Club since 1959 .
