Milan Škriniar (born February 11, 1995 in Žiar nad Hronom ) is a Slovak football player . The defender is under contract with Inter Milan .

Career

society

Škriniar played for his home club FK Žiar nad Hronom until he was 12. In 2007 he moved to the youth of MŠK Žilina . On March 27, 2012 he made his debut for the first team in the Slovak first division . From January to June 2013 Škriniar was loaned to the league rivals FC ViOn Zlaté Moravce to collect more match practice.

On January 29, 2016, he moved to the Italian first division club Sampdoria Genua . He made his Serie A debut on April 24, 2016 , before he played a game for Sampdoria Primavera.

In the summer of 2017, Škriniar moved to Inter Milan .

On May 16, 2019, Škriniar extended his contract with Inter Milan until 2023.

National team

Since the U-17s, Škriniar was nominated for all Slovak youth national teams. He made his debut for the Slovak national team on May 27, 2016 in the international match against Georgia . A few days after his first game for the national team, he was nominated by coach Ján Kozák for the squad at the 2016 European Championship . In the first two games he was not used, but in the 0-0 win against England in the final group game he was substituted on in the final quarter of an hour. In the round of 16 against Germany, which the team lost, he was in the starting line-up.
