Nicolò Barella (born February 7, 1997 in Cagliari ) is an Italian football player . The midfielder is currently under contract with Inter Milan .
Career
In the club
Barella comes from the youth of Cagliari Calcio , of which he belonged until 2015. In the second half of the 2013/14 season Barella was for the first time in the squad of the professional team. From the 2014/15 season he was part of the professional team and was a regular member of the squad. Barella played his first Serie A game on May 4, 2015 in a 4-0 win over FC Parma . He came in the 2014/15 season, at the end of which Cagliari relegated to Serie B , on two more appearances for the Rossoblù . In the first half of the 2015/16 season Barella was used in five games and was regularly in the squad before he was awarded to league rivals Como Calcio for the second half of the season . In 16 games Barella was used for Como Calcio, who were relegated to Lega Pro as bottom of the table . For the season 2016/17 returned Barella back to Cagliari.
Barella moved to Inter Milan on July 12, 2019 .
In the national team
Barella has been active in various junior national teams in Italy since 2012. With the U-19 selection , Barella took part in the U-19 European Championship in 2016 and reached the final , in which France, however, lost 4-0.
