Danilo D'Ambrosio (born September 9, 1988 in Naples ) is an Italian football player . The full-back is currently under contract with Inter Milan .

His twin brother Dario D'Ambrosio is also a professional footballer.

Career

In the club

Danilo D'Ambrosio began his career in the youth departments of the US Salernitana and Fiorentina , before moving to the southern Italian club Potenza SC in 2008 , where he made his professional debut in the C1 series . After six months, the native Neapolitan moved to the SS Juve Stabia , where he was used both in the Lega Pro Prima Divisione and - after the descent of Juve Stabia - in the Lega Pro Seconda Divisione .

In 2010 D'Ambrosio moved to the traditional Italian club FC Turin . After three seasons in Serie B , he and his team were promoted to Serie A , in which he was able to hold onto Turin. At Turin, D'Ambrosio, who is actually a right full-back, demonstrated his versatility: he was used in both right and central midfield and as a left full-back.

On January 30, 2014, Inter Milan announced the signing of the full-back. With the Milanese he signed a contract until June 30, 2018.

In the national team

D'Ambrosio played for various youth national teams in Italy, for which he was able to score two goals in eleven games. On June 11, 2010 he made his debut against Norway in the Italian U-21 national team .
