Kwadwo Asamoah (born December 9, 1988 in Accra ) is a Ghanaian football player .
He is under contract with the Italian club Inter Milan . In 2008 he took third place at the Africa Cup with the Ghanaian national team .
Career
Kwadwo Asamoah started his career at Deportivo FC, a club from Mampong in the Ashanti region . In 2006 he was promoted by Alhaji Sly Tetteh , who brought him to the Liberty Professionals from the Ghana Premier League . In 2007 he was one of three nominees for the “Best Player of the season” award, along with winners Kweku Essien and Alhaji Sanni .
2008 Asamoah was of Claude Le Roy in the contingent of Ghana for the African Nations Cup in 2008 appointed. He was used during the tournament in the game for third place against Ivory Coast shortly before the end of the game, making his debut in the Ghanaian national team . Previously, he was already in the Olympic team (U-23) during the qualification for the Olympic Summer Games 2008 and was in the squad of the senior team at the four-nation tournament in Ghana in November 2007.
After the Africa Cup of 2008, Kwadwo Asamoah was signed by the Swiss club AC Bellinzona , but due to problems with the residence permit, he was initially awarded to the Italian first division club FC Turin for six months without being used there. For the 2008/09 season he was awarded again to Italy to Udinese Calcio , which further committed him at the end of the season. In the following three seasons, the midfielder was a regular at the Friuli and completed a total of 114 Serie A games in which he scored eight goals. At the 2010 Soccer World Cup in South Africa , Asamoah played three games for Ghana and only failed in the quarterfinals on penalties against Uruguay .
On July 2, 2012, the Italian record champions Juventus Turin bought half of his transfer rights for nine million euros, thereby obliging him. On August 11, 2012, Kwadwo Asamoah scored a goal straight away in his competitive debut in the Supercup final against SSC Napoli, helping Juve to win 4-2 after extra time.
On May 13, 2014, Asamoah was appointed to the squad of the Ghanaian national soccer team for the 2014 World Cup .
Asamoah joined Inter Milan in June 2018 .
