Current league affiliations in brackets: I = Series A • II = Series B • III = Lega Pro • IV = Series D
The Series B represents only 21 teams for this season of the Coppa Italia , as the AC Siena no license on account of their financial position season 2014/15 received and was dissolved. Their place among the 22 seeded teams of the 2nd round is taken by the loser of last year's relegation play-offs , Novara Calcio .
For the 2014/15 season, the Lega Pro Prima Divisione and the Lega Pro Seconda Divisione were merged to form the new Lega Pro (basically Series C ) and now form the third-highest division in Italian football .
The left column lists the four relegated teams from Serie B 2013/14 and the 14 clubs in positions three to nine of both groups of Lega Pro Prima Divisione 2013/14 , and the right column lists the four best clubs in both groups of Lega Pro Seconda Divisione 2013/14 as well as the winner of the Coppa Italia Lega Pro 2013/14.
thSince Novara Calcio moved up to the teams of Serie B 2014/15 for AC Siena and Calcio Padova had to relegate directly to Serie D due to a lack of a license, the tenth place finishers of the two groups of the Lega Pro Prima Divisione 2013/14 move for these two clubs , the FBC Unione Venice (group A) and the AC Prato (group B).
Since both the winner of the Coppa Italia Lega Pro 2013/14, the US Salernitana , and the defeated finalist, the AC Monza Brianza , are qualified via their respective league placements, the better fifth of the two groups of the Lega Pro Seconda Divisione 2013 moved up / 14 , Santarcangelo Calcio , after.
