The Orienteering Federation of Finland (Finnish: Suomen Suunnistusliitto , SSL; Swedish: Finlands Orienteringsförbund ) is the national orienteering federation of Finland . It was founded in 1945 and is a founding member of the International Orienteering Federation (IOF).

history

The association was founded on March 18, 1945 under the name Suomen Suunnistamisliitto . In the same year the Norwegian Orienteering Association was founded, and in 1938 the national orienteering association was established in Sweden. In 1959 it was renamed to its current name. The association has been issuing a magazine since 1946, which has been published since 1950 under the name Suunnistaja .
