Orienteering Junior World Championships 2017
The 28th Junior Orienteering World Championships were held in Tampere , Finland in 2017 .
Award
Germany, Finland and Hungary submitted applications to the International Orienteering Federation to hold the World Championships. All three countries have already hosted the Junior World Championships once: Germany in 1991 with Berlin , the following year Finland with Jyväskylä and Hungary with Miskolc in 2001 . In July 2014, the IOF Council awarded the competitions to Tampere, Finland. Tampere hosted the active world championships in 1979 and 2001.
