Orienteering Australia is the national orienteering association of Australia . It was founded in 1970 and is a member of the International Orienteering Federation (IOF).
history
The association was founded in 1970 and was incorporated into the International Orienteering Association in 1973. The first Australian championships were held in 1971. In 1985, Bendigo, Australia, hosted the first world orienteering championships outside of Europe.
