The 1981/82 Coppa Italia , the football cup competition for club teams in Italy for the 1981/82 season, was won by Inter Milan . Inter met Torino Calcio in the final and won the Coppa Italia for the third time. Coach Eugenio Bersellini's team prevailed with 1: 0 and 1: 1 . They succeeded AS Roma , which had also prevailed against Torino Calcio last year, but this time failed in the quarter-finals.
As the Italian cup winner in 1981/82, Inter Milan qualified for the European Cup Winners' Cup of the following year, where they lost and eliminated in the quarter-finals against the Spanish representative Real Madrid .
