Coppa Italia 1972/73

The Coppa Italia 1972/73 , the soccer cup competition for club teams in Italy for the 1972/73 season, was won by AC Milan . Milan met Juventus Turin in the final and won the Coppa Italia for the third time. Coach Nereo Rocco's team prevailed 5: 2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw at the end of extra time. You could thus defend the title won last year against SSC Napoli .

As the Italian cup winner in 1972/73, AC Milan qualified for the European Cup Winners' Cup of the following year, where they only lost in the final against the GDR representative 1. FC Magdeburg .
