Ivano Bordon (born April 13, 1951 in Venice , Italy ) is a former Italian football player .

Career

The 1.83 m tall goalkeeper Ivano Bordon played for Inter Milan from 1970 to 1983 and was Italian champion twice with Inter during this time. In 1983 he moved to Sampdoria Genoa and let his career come to an end from 1986 to 1989 at the Serie B club Brescia Calcio . At Inter Milan he still holds the record with 686 minutes of play without conceding a goal.

In the Italian national team he was in the shadow of Dino Zoff , but took part as goalkeeper number two in the 1978 World Cup and the 1982 World Cup. So he belonged to the squad of the soccer world champions 1982 without having played a single minute. Bordon still managed to make 21 international matches.

The Italian national coach Marcello Lippi brought him as goalkeeping coach into his coaching team for the 2006 World Cup in Germany .
