Bruno Conti (born March 13, 1955 in Nettuno , Province of Rome ) is a former Italian football player , coach and official .

Career

Conti played for a long time at AS Roma , with which he was Italian champion in 1982/83 under Nils Liedholm . In 304 championship seasons he scored 37 goals. In 1979/80 , 1980/81 , 1983/84 and 1985/86 he won the Coppa Italia with Roma .

Bruno Conti made his first international match for Italy on October 11, 1980 under Enzo Bearzot in a 2-0 win in Luxembourg . Due to his outstanding performance, the midfielder was instrumental in winning the 1982 World Cup in Spain . Especially in the final against Germany he showed why he was called the Brazilians in his home country . By 1986 he scored five goals in 47 games for the Italian national team.

In the 2004/05 crisis season , Conti was the fourth coach of the season to lead the AS Roma team into the cup final against Inter Milan and thus into the UEFA Cup , as Inter had already qualified for the Champions League . Today Conti is the youth coach of AS Roma.
