In August 2014 he was transferred from the youth department to the professional area and received his first professional contract, which runs until June 30, 2017. After a good preparation for the season under the new coach Massimiliano Allegri , Mattiello was in the squad for every game until matchday 10, but remained without a commitment. On the 11th matchday in the game against FC Parma of the 2014/15 season , he came on as a substitute for Claudio Marchisio in the 82nd minute when the score was 6-0 . The game ended 7-0 after another goal by Álvaro Morata .

For the second half of the 2014/15 season, Matiello was loaned to Chievo Verona . At the home game Chievos against AS Roma , Mattiello broke his shin and fibula after a duel with Roman Radja Nainggolan . The loan deal with Chievo Verona was extended to the 2015/16 season and Mattiello celebrated his comeback for Chievo on October 18, 2015. Shortly thereafter, Mattiello broke his leg and fell out again for a long time, so that he did not come to any further use for Chievo and was only used in four games in a year and a half.

For the season 2016/17 Mattiello returns to Juventus and was resumed in the squad in September 2016th After a year without commitment, it was awarded to SPAL Ferrara in the summer of 2017 .
