Kiril Despodow ( Bulgarian Кирил Десподов ; born November 11, 1996 in Kresna ) is a Bulgarian football player .

Career

society

Despodov started his career at Litex Lovech . In May 2012 he made his debut for Litex Lovech in the A Grupa when he was substituted on on the 28th match day of the 2011/12 season against Kaliakra Kawarna in the 73rd minute for Swetoslaw Todorow . This was his only season use. In the 2012/13 season he came to eight appearances in the top Bulgarian league. In August 2013 he scored his first goal in the A Grupa in a 5-1 win against FC Pirin Goze Deltschew . In the 2013/14 season he came to a total of six missions in which he scored two goals. In the 2014/15 season he played 18 games and scored two goals this season again.

After Litex Lovetsch was excluded from A Grupa in December 2015, Despodow was now used for the second team in B Grupa , for which he played 13 games by the end of the season. For the 2016/17 season he moved to CSKA Sofia . In his first season at the capital club, he came to 25 appearances in the A group, in which he scored four goals, he also played once for the reserve in the B group.

In the 2017/18 season Despodow completed 30 games in the A Grupa and scored eight goals. In January 2019 he moved to Italy to Cagliari Calcio , where he received a contract that ran until June 2023. He made four appearances in Serie A by the end of the season .

In September 2019 he was transferred to Austria to SK Sturm Graz awarded. By the end of the loan, he made 19 appearances for the Styrians in the Bundesliga , in which he scored eight goals.

National team

Despodow first played for the Bulgarian U-17 selection . From 2012 he was used for the U-19 team . With this he took part in the European Championships in 2014 , but was eliminated without any points as the last of group B in the preliminary round. Despodow was used in all three Bulgarian games.

In February 2015 he made his debut for the senior team when he was in an unofficial friendly against Romania in injury time for Stanislav Manolev came on. In March 2015 he played against Wales for the first time for the U-21 team , for which he made at least 16 appearances by 2018.

In March 2018 he played against Bosnia and Herzegovina for the first time in an official match of the senior national team. In October 2018, he scored his first national team goal in the UEFA Nations League against Cyprus .
