Keita Baldé Diao (born March 8, 1995 in Arbúcies , Spain ) is a Senegalese - Spanish football player . The left winger is under contract with AS Monaco and is a Senegalese international .

Career

Keita, the son of Senegalese born parents in Spain and raised, comes from the youth academy of FC Barcelona . In the B youth he was awarded to the UE Cornellà for one season. In 2011 he moved to the youth team in Lazio .

For the 2013/14 season, Keita moved up to Lazio in the first team squad. On September 15, 2013, he made his Serie A debut in a 3-0 win over Chievo Verona . He scored his first goal on November 10, 2013 in a 1-1 draw against FC Parma, which took the lead 1-0 in the 50th minute. In the 2013/14 season he also played with the club in the Europa League . Keita was used in all eight games of his team, which failed in the sixteenth finals to Ludogorez Razgrad .

At the end of August 2017, Keita moved to AS Monaco in the French Ligue 1 and signed a five-year contract. In August 2018 he was awarded for one season to the Italian first division club Inter Milan .

He made his debut on March 26, 2016 in a 2-0 home win in the qualifying game against Niger when he came on for Sadio Mané in the 84th minute . Keita scored his first goal on September 3, 2016 in a 2-0 win over Namibia . In May 2018 he was appointed to the Senegalese squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia . In the tournament, Keita was only used in the 0-1 defeat in the third group game against Colombia and could not prevent his team from being eliminated in the group stage.
