Strahinja Pavlović ( Serbian - Cyrillic Страхиња Павловић ; born May 24, 2001 in Šabac , BR Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian football player who is under contract with AS Monaco . The central defender has been a Serbian U21 international since September 2019 .

Career

Pavlović, who was born in Šabac , started playing football for the local club Savacium Šabac before moving to the youth department of FK Partizan Belgrade in 2015 . In September 2018 he signed his first professional contract with the Crno-beli . In spring 2019 he penetrated the first team and made his debut in the top Serbian league on February 23 (23rd matchday) in a 3-0 home win against FK Proleter Novi Sad . As a result, he quickly established himself in the starting line-up of head coach Žarko Lazetić and also under his successor Savo Milošević he held this status. In this season 2018/19 he was used in eleven league games. With Partizan he began on May 23 with a 1: 0 win over rivals Red Star Belgrade the Lav Kup Srbije .

In the following 2019/20 season he finally became an indispensable regular player in central defense alongside the experienced Bojan Ostojić . At the beginning of September 2019 he signed a new five-year contract with Partizan. On October 6, 2019 (11th matchday), he scored his first goal in professional football in a 2-1 home defeat against FK Voždovac .

On December 18, 2019, Pavlović's move to the French first division club AS Monaco was announced. The services of the central defender cost the central defender ten million euros, who provided him with a 4-1 / 2-year contract. However, he should end the 2019/20 season with Partizan, who loaned him until June 30, 2020.
