Radosław Majecki (born November 16, 1999 in Starachowice ) is a Polish football goalkeeper who is currently under contract with the French first division club AS Monaco . The goalkeeper is a former junior international.

Career

society

Majecki started playing football at Arka Pawłów and came to Legia Warsaw's youth department via KSZO Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski in 2014 . In February 2016 he signed his first professional contract with the Wojskowi . From the 2016/17 season, Majecki stood between the posts for the reserve team in the third-highest Polish division . In order to collect match practice at a higher level, Legia loaned the second division club FKS Stal Mielec for the entire next season 2017/18 . There he was number one and only missed two of the 34 league games.

After returning to Legia, he was the third goalkeeper behind the experienced Radosław Cierzniak and Arkadiusz Malarz at the beginning of the 2018/19 season . Under head coach Ricardo Sá Pinto , he was promoted to the goalkeeper in November 2018 and only lost this place in March 2019 due to a rib injury that forced him to watch for two months. In total, he played 14 league games this 2018/19 season. In the following season 2019/20 he became the undisputed goalkeeper under the new trainer Aleksandar Vuković .

On January 29, the French first division club AS Monaco signed Majecki for a transfer fee of seven million euros and provided him with a 4-1 / 2-year contract. However, the goalkeeper will end the 2019/20 season at Legia, as his new club loaned him straight back there. On July 1, 2020 - due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the season had not yet ended at this point in time - he joined the Monegasque. In the 2019/20 season, he played a total of 33 league games.

National team

Radosław Majecki worked for various Polish junior national teams, most recently from August 2017 to September 2019 for the U20s .
