Stevan Jovetić (born November 2, 1989 in Titograd ) is a Montenegrin football player who has been under contract with AS Monaco since the end of August 2017 .
Career
society
In his youth Jovetić played in the offspring of FK Mladost Podgorica , before FK Partizan from Belgrade in 2003 recruited him. There he made his debut after three years on April 8, 2006 under coach Jürgen Röber in the first team at the age of 16. At the age of 17 he shot his first hat trick on a professional level. He scored three goals in a 5-0 win in the UEFA Cup qualifier against HŠK Zrinjski Mostar . At the age of 18, he became captain of his team in January 2008 after the previous captain Antonio Rukavina moved to Borussia Dortmund , making him the youngest Partizan captain of all time. Under his leadership, the team won both the Serbian Championship and the Serbian Cup .
For the 2008/09 season he moved to Fiorentina , where he signed a five-year contract. In his first year in Serie A , Jovetić made 29 appearances. He scored his first league goal on April 5, 2009.
In August 2010, Jovetić tore a cruciate ligament and missed the entire 2010/11 season.
On July 19, 2013, Jovetić moved to Manchester City in the Premier League for 26 million euros . There he could not prevail in two seasons. With Manchester City, Jovetić was English champions and league cup winners in his first season.
For the 2015/16 season , Jovetić moved to Inter Milan and received a contract until June 30, 2019.
On January 10, 2017, Jovetić moved to the Spanish Primera División for Sevilla FC until the end of the 2016/17 season .
In the summer, Jovetić initially returned to Inter Milan, but was not substituted on the first two match days. On August 29, 2017, he moved to the French Ligue 1 for AS Monaco , where he received a contract until June 30, 2021.
National team
Jovetić was part of the squad at the first official international match of the national team of Montenegro and made his debut for the same on March 24, 2007 in the game against Hungary . Since then he has been regularly nominated for the A-Eleven in his home country. He was also a member of the Montenegro U21 squad .
