Benjamin Lecomte (born April 26, 1991 in Paris ) is a French football goalkeeper who is under contract with AS Monaco .

Career

society

On October 26, 2010 Lecomte made his professional debut for FC Lorient in a match of the Coupe de la Ligue against AS Monaco. Lorient lost the game on penalties. On January 20, 2011, Lecomte signed his first professional contract. After three seasons as goalkeeper No. 2 behind Fabien Audard , he was awarded to FCO Dijon in Ligue 2 , for which he completed 31 league games. He then returned to Lorient and was the first goalkeeper for Lorient in the 2014/15 season .

On June 29, 2017, Lecomte signed a contract with HSC Montpellier after Lorient was relegated. He made his league debut for the club on August 5, 2017 in a 1-0 home win over SM Caen . At Montpellier, he completed two full seasons as a regular.

On July 15, 2019, Lecomte signed a five-year deal with Monaco.

National team

Lecomte was a French youth international and played for the U19 and U20 national teams. On September 3, 2018, Lecomte was appointed to the French senior team for the first time against Germany and the Netherlands after captain and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris suffered an injury.
