William Joensen
William Michael Joensen (born July 8, 1960 in Waterloo , Iowa , USA ) is an American clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Des Moines .
Life
William Joensen received on 24 June 1989, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On July 18, 2019, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Des Moines. The Archbishop of Dubuque , Michael Owen Jackels , donated him episcopal ordination on September 27 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Sioux City , Ralph Walker Nickless , and the Bishop of Davenport , Thomas Robert Zinkula .
