Aurélien Djani Tchouaméni (born January 27, 2000 in Rouen ) is a French football player who has been under contract with the first division club AS Monaco since January 2020 . He has been France's U20 international since September 2019 .
Career
Club team
Tchouaméni, born in Rouen in northern France , is of Cameroonian descent. At the age of 11 he moved from the amateur club SJ D'Artigues to the first division club Girondins Bordeaux , where he signed his first professional contract on November 10, 2017. He made his debut in the first team in the second round of qualifying for the 2018/19 UEFA Europa League on July 26, 2018 in a 1-0 away win against the Latvian club FK Ventspils . His first goal was in the third qualifying round in a 3-1 away win against FK Mariupol . He made his league debut three days later in a 2-0 home defeat by Racing Strasbourg . In the 2018/19 season he made 10 league appearances.
On January 29, 2020, Aurélien Tchouaméni moved to league rivals AS Monaco for a transfer fee of 18 million euros , where he signed a 4-1 / 2-year contract. He made his debut on February 1 (22nd matchday) in the 1: 3 away defeat against Olympique Nîmes , when he came on in the 72nd minute for Youssouf Fofana . In this 2019/20 season , he played a total of 18 league games for both clubs.
National team
