Willem Davnis Louis Didier Geubbels (born August 16, 2001 in Villeurbanne ) is a French football player .
Career
society
Geubbels joined the youth team at Olympique Lyon in 2010 from ASVEL Foot . In August 2017 he made his debut for the Lyon B team in the fourth-highest division when he came on as a substitute for Amine Gouiri in the 66th minute against AS Yzeure on the first matchday of the 2017/18 season . He scored his first goals for Lyon B in his starting line-up against SC Schiltigheim ; in the 3-0 win he scored all three goals.
In September 2017, Geubbels made his Ligue 1 debut for the Lyon professionals when he was brought into play for Lucas Tousart in the 84th minute against FCO Dijon on matchday seven of that season . Through that commitment he became the first Ligue 1 player to be born in the 21st century . He also made his Europa League debut in December 2017 when he replaced Maxwell Cornet in the final group game against Atalanta Bergamo just before half-time . As a result, he replaced Romelu Lukaku as the youngest player ever used in the Europa League; Geubbels was 16 years and 113 days old at the time.
National team
Geubbels made his debut against Scotland for the French U-16s in September 2016 . In the game that France won 4-0, he scored his first goal with the goal to make it 1-0.
On February 1, 2017, he played for the U-17 team of France for the first time in a friendly against Belgium . Two days later, also against Belgium, he scored his first two goals for France's U-17 team. In May of the same year he took part with the team in the U-17 European Championship , which France finished fifth.
In August 2017, he made his debut for France's U-18 team in a friendly against Poland . In this game Geubbels scored the goal to make it 1-1. With France he took part in the U-17 World Cup in October 2017 , where they were eliminated in the round of 16.

Geubbels was born in Villeurbanne as the son of a Dutch woman and a French woman of Central African descent .
