Amine Ferid Gouiri (born February 16, 2000 in Bourgoin-Jallieu ) is a French football player who plays as a striker for Ligue 1 club OGC Nice .

Career

Olympique Lyon

Gouiri moved to Olympique Lyon in 2013 and signed his first professional contract on July 3, 2017 with a term of three years.

Gouiri, who was internationally courted at an early age, sat on the bench in a Ligue 1 game against Girondins Bordeaux for Lyon on September 10, 2016 and made his debut for Lyon's B team at the age of 17. He made his Ligue 1 debut on November 19, 2017 in a 0-0 draw against HSC Montpellier . He came on in the 73rd minute for Tanguy Ndombele . In August 2018 he suffered a ruptured cruciate ligament . In January 2019, Lyon extended the contract with him until 2022.

OGC Nice

At the beginning of the 2020/21 season, Gouiri moved to league rivals OGC Nice for around 7 million euros .

National team

Gouiri was the top scorer of the 2017 U-17 European Championship with seven goals . In the same year he took part in the U-17 World Cup in India. In total, he scored five goals in this tournament. He scored four goals at the 2018 U-19 European Championship .

Gouiri was born in France and is of Algerian descent.
