Kasper Dolberg Rasmussen (born October 6, 1997 in Silkeborg ) is a Danish football player . The striker is under contract with OGC Nice and is a senior international .

Career

Dolberg made his first appearances in professional football on the last match days of the 2014/15 season when he was substituted on three times for his club Silkeborg IF in the Danish first division . After this season he moved to the youth academy of the Dutch record champions Ajax Amsterdam with a three-year contract and played for the U-19 team.

In preparation for the 2016/17 season , Dolberg took part in the training camp of the professional team in Austria under coach Peter Bosz and was used for the first time in July 2016 in the third qualifying round for the Champions League . With Ajax he failed in the play-offs for the Champions League and took part in the Europa League . Dolberg scored six goals in the competition and reached the final with the team , which was lost to Manchester United . In the league he was runner- up with Ajax behind Feyenoord Rotterdam ; Dolberg scored 16 goals in the league game and was named Talent of the Year in the Netherlands. In the following season , Klaas-Jan Huntelaar , who had returned to Ajax Amsterdam, was preferred to him more often , and Dolberg also suffered an injury to his foot in December 2017. At the end of the 2017/18 season, the club was again runner-up. In the 2018/19 season Dolberg got more match practice again, with Huntelaar and Dušan Tadić mostly in the starting line-up. For the 2019/20 season, Dolberg moved to OGC Nice in Ligue 1 .

National team

Dolberg played seven times for the Danish U16 national team and eight times each for the U17 and the U18 national team . On September 2, 2016, Dolberg played for the Danish U21 national team for the first time in a 4-0 win in the European Championship qualifier against Wales in Wrexham .

He made his debut in the first national team on November 11, 2016 in the World Cup qualifier in Copenhagen against Kazakhstan . With the Danish senior national team, Dolberg qualified for the 2018 World Cup in Russia , where he played once and reached the round of 16 with his team .

Trivia

In the summer of 2019, Lamine Diaby-Fadiga , his teammate at the OGC Nice , stole a luxury watch that cost about 70,000 euros. As a consequence, the club dismissed the young French.
