Youcef Atal ( Arabic يوسف عطال, DMG Yūsuf ʿAṭṭāl ; * May 17, 1996 in Boghni ) is an Algerian soccer player who has been under contract with the French first division club OGC Nice since July 2018 . The right full-back has been an Algerian international since June 2017 .

After completing his football training with the Algerian clubs CR Belouizdad , JS Kabylie , USM Algiers and Paradou AC , he moved up to the second division side of the latter in November 2015. In a year and a half he came there to 46 league appearances, in which he scored five goals. With the club, he was promoted to the first division in 2017 . For the 2017/18 season he switched to KV Kortrijk in a one-year loan deal in the Belgian Pro League . He suffered from various injuries throughout the season and only made his debut on October 15, 2017 (10th matchday) in the 3-1 defeat in the away game against Standard Liège . Although he only played ten games for KV Kortrijk this season, the club pulled the purchase option for a permanent commitment Atals. Just two weeks after he moved to Kortrijk, he signed with the French first division club OGC Nice for a transfer fee of 3 million euros. He made his debut for the Aiglons on August 11 in the 1-0 defeat at home to Stade Reims . He scored his first goal on November 10 (13th matchday) in a 1-0 win in the away game against Olympique Nîmes . In the course of the 2018/19 season , the trained full-back was also used more and more often as a winger . In this position he scored all three of his team's goals in his team's 3-0 home win against EA Guingamp on April 28, 2019. During that season, he scored six goals in 29 league games. On December 7, 2019 (17th matchday) he suffered a serious knee injury in a 4-1 home win against FC Metz , which meant that the 2019/20 season was over for him after 13 league appearances and one goal.

On June 1, 2017 Youcef Atal was called up for the first time in the senior team . He made his debut on June 6 in a 2-1 friendly win against the Guinea national team . He scored his first international goal on November 18, 2018 in the qualifier for the Africa Cup 2019 in a 4-1 victory over Togo .
