Myziane Maolida (born February 14, 1999 in Paris ) is a French football player of Comorian descent who has been under contract with the first division club OGC Nice since August 2018 . The striker is a former French junior international.

Career

Maolida was in the French capital Paris , the son of Comorian born parents. In 2014 he joined the youth department of Olympique Lyon from AC Boulogne-Billancourt . He made his league debut on August 5, 2017 in a 4-0 home win against Racing Strasbourg , when he came on for Mariano Díaz in the 76th minute of the game . In the 2017/18 UEFA Europa League , he scored for the first time for OL in the 4-0 win against the Cypriot club Apollon Limassol on November 23, 2017. He scored his only league goal in a 5-0 away win against OGC Nice three days later.

In August 2018, Myziane Maolida signed a five-year contract with league rivals OGC Nice. Olympique Lyon received a transfer fee of 10 million euros for the services of the striker and will also receive 30% of the transfer fee of a future sale of Maolida. He made his debut on August 18, 2018 in a 1-1 draw against SM Caen . After unable to score a single goal in the first 13 games of the 2018/19 season, he was out for two months in mid-November 2018 with a foot injury. After three more missions in early 2019, in which he remained without much influence, he injured his knee and was not used for the rest of the season. On November 30, 2019 (15th matchday), he scored his first goal in a 3-1 home win against SCO Angers in his 22nd league game for Nice. In this 2019/20 season , the striker only scored one goal in 18 league appearances.

National team

Maolida ran for various French youth selections. He was most successful here for the U19 , for which he met 19 missions nine times.
