VCV Rack is a freely available modular software synthesizer . The software was published open source under a free license . Some components have different licenses.
Overview
VCV Rack simulates a Eurorack that can be connected to virtual and real MIDI devices internally as well as via USB or MIDI connections. By default, VCV Rack contains various VCOs , LFOs , mixers and other synthesizer modules . There is also a wide range of additional modules that can be installed on the VCV Rack website.
VCV Rack can also be used as a VST plug-in.
From version 1.0.0 VCV Rack has a stable API, a multithreading-capable engine and supports polyphonic signals .
