Apollon Limassol ( Greek : Απόλλων Λεμεσού) is a Cypriot football club from Limassol that plays in the first-class First Division .

In addition to football, the club also has a basketball and volleyball department.

General

The club was founded in 1954 and plays its home games in Tsirio , which has a capacity of around 14,000 spectators.

In his first season 1955/56 Apollon lost all eight games, but was able to take over a large part of the top performers of this club before the following season due to problems with another club from Limassol, so that as early as 1957 the promotion to the top division succeeded in the Apollon has been able to hold on ever since. 1965-1967 Apollon was three times in a row in the final for the Cup of Cyprus. After Apollon was defeated in the first year, two wins in a row in this competition.

Apollon has won the Cypriot Cup nine times and the national championship three times.
