The First Division 2013/14 , also called the Marfin Laiki League for sponsorship reasons , was the 75th season of the top division of the Republic of Cyprus in men's football . It started on August 31, 2013 and ended on May 19, 2014.

First round

In the first round of the season, the 14 clubs played for the placements, according to which the teams were divided into two groups of six teams each in the second half of the season. The last two clubs, on the other hand, were relegated to the Second Division immediately after the first round .

The six best-placed clubs reached the championship round, the teams in positions seven to twelve played against relegation. It should be noted that the number of points achieved in the individual groups was transferred from the 26 games of the preliminary round, so that the respective second round can only cause minor changes depending on the table situation.

1 Alki Larnaka , Enosis Neon Paralimni and Nea Salamis Famagusta were deducted three points by the CFA on May 17, 2013 for failing to meet UEFA's financial criteria .
2 Alki Larnaka was deducted a further three points by the CFA on August 6, 2013 because they still did not meet UEFA's financial criteria .
3 Alki Larnaka was deducted a further six points by the CFA on November 8, 2013 for failing to meet UEFA's financial criteria for the third time.
4th Alki Larnaka was deducted two more points by the CFA on December 2, 2013 because they did not meet the association's monthly financial criteria.
5 Alki Larnaka was deducted another nine points on January 8, 2014 by the CFA for failing to pay the referee fees for three home games.
6th Alki Larnaka was deducted a further three points by the CFA on January 15, 2014 , as they did not pay the referee fees for two home games.
7th Alki Larnaka was deducted an additional two points by the CFA on January 31, 2014 for failing to meet UEFA's financial criteria for the fourth time.
8th Alki Larnaka was deducted another nine points on February 5, 2014 by the CFA for failing to pay the referee fees for three home games.
9 Alki Larnaka was deducted two more points by the CFA on March 6, 2014 for failing to meet UEFA's financial criteria for the fifth time.
