The League 1 2013/14 was the 76th season of the highest Romanian football league . It started on July 19, 2013 and ended on May 21, 2014.

The defending champion was Steaua Bucharest .

The league 1 played with 18 teams. Subject to the withdrawal of the license of other teams, four teams placed last will be relegated to League II , from which four teams will be promoted (the top two from each of the two seasons). There were three points for a win, one point for a draw and no points for a defeat. If two or more teams were tied at the end of the season, it was not the goal difference that decided , but the direct comparison.

1 Dinamo Bucharest did not receive the necessary license from UEFA to compete in the Europa League.
2The FC Vaslui were because of existing debt to the agent Codoban Tătar Ionel deducted 8 points. The print was later deleted. At the end of the season, the club was forcibly transferred to League II.
