Divizia A 1961/62

The Divizia A 1962/63 was the 25th season in the history of the Romanian football league Divizia A. It began on August 19, 1962 and ended on July 14, 1963 . Games were closed from the end of November to the beginning of March ( winter break ).

Champion was defending champion Dinamo Bucharest .

The Divizia A played exceptionally with 15 teams. As a result, the last four teams were relegated to Divizia B , while only three rose to achieve a class size of 14 again. There were two points for a win, one point for a draw and no points for a defeat. If two or more teams were tied at the end of the season, the goal quotient decided .

    1Viitorul Bucharest was the Romanian national youth team that had become European champions in the spring of 1962. It was dissolved after the first half of the season. The results obtained were evaluated.
