The Divizia A 1947/48 was the eleventh season in the history of the Romanian football league Divizia A. It began on August 24, 1947 and ended on May 9, 1948.

Champion became defending champion ITA Arad .

The league was increased to 16 teams. The two last-placed teams went directly into the Divizia B from. The teams in positions 11 to 14 had to go into relegation. There were two points for a win, one point for a draw and no points for a defeat.

    1 Juventus Bucharest was taken over by the state oil company and changed its name to Distribuția Bucharest.
    2 Ferar Cluj merged with CFR Cluj. The club continued to play as CFR Cluj.
    3 Ciocanul Bucharest was merged with Unirea Tricolor Bucharest to form Dinamo Bucharest. Ciocanul ended the season as Dinamo "A", Unirea Tricolor as Dinamo "B".
    4th Dermagant Târgu Mureş changed its name to RATA Târgu Mureş.
    5 Carmen Bucharest was forcibly dissolved. The vacated space was awarded to the newly founded ASA Bucharest association.
    6th Oțelul Reșița changed its name to Metalochimic Reșița.
