Divizia A 1989/90

The Divizia A 1990/91 was the 53rd season in the history of the Romanian football league Divizia A. It started on August 12, 1990 and ended on June 23, 1991 . Games were closed from mid-December to early March ( winter break ).

The 18 teams played against each other twice on 34 match days. The three last-place teams went into the Divizia B from. There were two points for a win, one point for a draw and no points for a defeat. If two or more teams were tied at the end of the season, the goal difference decided, unlike in the previous season .
