The Divizia B 1991/92 was the 52nd season of the second highest Romanian football league . Following the introduction of the Divizia Națională, it was replaced by the Divizia A.

Progresul Bucharest , CSM Reșița and Universitatea Cluj rose to the Divizia Națională .

mode

The Divizia B was held in three seasons with 18 teams each. The three winners rose to the Divizia Națională. The last six clubs in each group were relegated to the then third-class Divizia B, as the league was reduced from 54 to 36 clubs and thus two-pronged for the following season. There were two points for a win, one point for a draw and no point for a loss. If two or more teams were tied at the end of the season, the goal difference decided first .
