The Divizia B 1955 was the 16th season of the second highest Romanian football league . The three season winner Locomotiva Bucharest , Progresul Oradea and Dinamo Bacau rose in the Divizia A on.

The Divizia B was held in three seasons with 13 and 14 teams. The three winners were promoted to Divizia A. All teams from tenth place were relegated to Divizia C. There were two points for a win, one point for a draw and no point for a loss. In the event of a tie at the end of the season, the direct comparison first decided .
